4-Day User Experience (UX) Intensive Workshop starting June 9th!

How can you ensure the websites, applications, and software systems you're developing meet the needs of your users? Join us for our 4-day workshop where we define usability and show you how the user-centered design process builds products that are useful and usable.

This workshop is for professionals involved with the design and development of digital products, who want to take their organization's user experience skills to the next level.

What you'll learn

  1. Understand what user-centered design (UCD) is and how it fits into a development process
  2. Learn about each step in the UCD process
  3. Practice several user-research techniques, including interviewing and customer journey mapping
  4. Understand the importance of personas learn and tips for creating them
  5. Learn more about usable information architectures and application flows
  6. Learn about planning and conducting usability studies and about data analysis
  7. Gain a deeper understanding of design and prototyping activities by practicing and trying out design techniques
  8. Get familiar with key tools of the trade, including card-sorting tools, Crazy Egg, TreeJack, style tiles, prototyping tools, mobile design and testing tools

The best way to learn is by doing. Our instructors engage workshop participants in highly-interactive discussions and practice. We'll have lots of:

  1. Relevant examples, including an in-depth look at the opportunities at your organization
  2. Hands-on exercises
  3. Group discussion
  4. Specific guidelines and techniques

  1. Washington state agencies, city, county, and other public entity employees, including members of non-profits
  2. Oregon state agency employees
  3. Idaho state agency employees
