Meet the Team: Naomi Thalenberg, Content Strategist at Anthro-Tech

Meet Naomi, Content Strategist at Anthro-Tech!

Naomi helps our clients create content for their products and services that is useful, meaningful, inclusive, and accessible. She leads content improvement projects, designs information architectures, and develops and delivers training workshops focused on writing for the web and content strategy.

What does a typical workday at Anthro-Tech involve for you?

My typical day varies depending on the client project. Right now, one of my biggest projects is a website redesign for a government agency. I spend my time collaborating with our research and design team members, and our client team members on how to best create structured content that is useful, usable, and accessible to all users. This involves creating sketches of landing pages, working on an information architecture (IA), auditing, and modeling content.

At Anthro-Tech we bring our clients on the journey with us and set them up for success long after our contract ends. So, we also host trainings for content workflows, develop web standards, build out voice and tone guides, and help our clients document the Human-Centered Design (HCD) process to get future buy-in from their organization.

What is an example of an exciting project you've worked on at Anthro-Tech?

An exciting and impactful project I worked on was helping the Washington State Nursing Commission update their IA for their new website. Our team analyzed data from a tree test and then validated our findings with a usability study. I really enjoyed watching the data-driven process come to life, and most users at the usability study were able to successfully find the information they were looking for. It was a huge success!

What are three words to describe Anthro-Tech?

Human-centered, optimistic, and iterative.

What are some interesting facts about you?

I was born and raised in Israel – I moved to the U.S. when I was 9. I have four nationalities … so maybe I’m secretly a spy!

I have two cats that I am very emotionally attached to … maybe a bit too much.

Naomi ensures our clients’ customers can find what they need, understand what they find, and use what they find to meet their needs. She is one of our all-star teammates and recently won our latest A-T Core Values award at our quarterly company retreat!
